The Healing Power of Water Through Hydrotherapy

The healing power of water, both internally and externally, is nothing short of amazing!

“Constitutional Hydrotherapy” is an important healing modality used by traditional naturopathic medicine since the 1920s. Then and now, hydrotherapy still demonstrates the power to invigorate the body’s natural healing abilities. That’s why New Day Wellness Center offers a wide range of hydrotherapy treatment as part of its integrative care.

What conditions can be improved through hydrotherapy?

  • Colds and Flus

  • Insomnia, Stress, and Headaches

  • Arthritis and Joint Pain

  • Immune System Disorders

  • Injuries and Inflammatory Disorders

  • Muscle Soreness

  • Circulatory and Respiratory Health

  • Detoxification and Elimination

How Does Hydrotherapy Work?

In its simplest application, towels are immersed in warm and/or cool water, then strategically placed on particular areas of the body. Cool compresses reduce inflammation and swelling, while warm compresses promote blood flow and ease stiff and sore muscles. Hydrotherapy can also be used in conjunction with electrostimulation. (Don’t worry – while moisture and electricity normally don’t mix, the special equipment and methods we use are perfectly safe.)

Hydrotherapy promotes relaxation, rejuvenation, and revitalizes the parasympathetic nervous system. Not only does hydrotherapy enhance the immune response, it promotes detoxification, and improves overall nutrition by delivering nutrients to tissues.
